Adults with Down syndrome live longer than ever before, although still shorter than the general population. To better understand their changing patterns of mortality, we will use an existing dataset to investigate the modifiable and non-modifiable risk factors for early mortality in this population. This project will identify targets for lifestyle-related strategies to support healthy aging in adults with Down syndrome and for early detection and diagnosis strategies.
