Aneuploidy, an abnormal number of chromosomes, is associated with many human conditions and diseases, including miscarriages, birth defects, and cancer. In this proposal, we are requesting grant support to bring together the world’s experts in the field of aneuploidy to share their latest findings during the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology sponsored conference “The Consequences of Aneuploidy.” The goal of the meeting is to advance our understanding of how aneuploidy impacts human health and disease which will lead to new therapeutic strategies that prevent aneuploidy, eliminate aneuploid cells, and treat the symptoms of aneuploidy associated conditions.
