CellCelector Flex for versatile automated single cell and colony picking

Summary

PROJECT NARRATIVE This shared instrumentation grant (SIG) proposal, by the Functional Genomics Shared Resource (FGSR) of the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus (CU-AMC), seeks funds to purchase the Sartorius CellCelector Flex system to automate single cell, colony and organoid detection, selection and picking. The gentle cellular transfer results in high cell integrity, outgrowth rates, and frustrations-free analysis of rare cell populations. This one-of-a-kind, versatile, and intuitive system has applications across biomedical research areas, such as circulating tumor cell screening, stem cell research, cell line development, and antibody discovery. No similar system exists on the CU-AMC campus. The requested system will be a great addition to FGSR’s genome engineering platform and investigator-initiated projects.
