DLK1 as a novel target for Down syndrome myeloid leukemia

PROJECT NARRATIVE PUBLIC HEALTH RELEVANCE Chemotherapy-related toxicity and disease relapse with poor prognosis are the major impediments for a complete cure for Down syndrome associated myeloid leukemia (DS-ML). In this project, we propose different approaches to combat DS-ML. These approaches will provide a preclinically validated toolbox consisting of novel therapeutic options and combinations, not only for TAM/DS-ML, but also for other myeloid malignancies.
