Curation and analysis of publicly available, molecular profiles from people with Down Syndrome
Summary
For the past two decades, researchers have generated molecular profiles of Down syndrome individuals and controls and have posted these profiles in public repositories so that others can reuse them. However, reuse is difficult because researchers must be familiar with how to process each type of data, and they must deal with inconsistencies in terminologies used to describe research subjects. We will undergo a curation effort to address these problems on behalf of the Down syndrome research community and develop novel computational methodologies for combining such datasets in a way that addresses systematic differences between datasets.
